Outflow
The pool of rain-cooled air spreading outward at the surface from the storm's downdraft. Outflow drives gust fronts, shelf clouds, and roll clouds. When outflow overwhelms the surrounding inflow, it undercuts the updraft and turns a rotating storm outflow-dominant.
